# What are the legal requirements for starting a small business in Ohio?

Fourth, the business must comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to minimum wage and anti-discrimination laws. Additionally, the business must obtain workers' compensation insurance for its employees.

Fifth, the business must follow zoning and building requirements, including obtaining necessary permits and inspections for any new construction or building renovations.
